A new look
Hi everyone
Sunday evening 7:50pm just had a lovely tea if I say so myself 😆😆😆
Anyway, I've decided to change our blog up a bit. Obviously the main focus will be crafts but I want to introduce you to a bit more , the way we live, our loves, struggles and some funny stuff rolled in too.
Today I'm going to introduce myself as Sharon 😀 hello to you all.
I was born in 1972 in Carlisle hospital to my mum and dad, Margaret and Alan Mattinson, I had a brother, Paul who was 2 years my senior.
Paul was severely handicapped as my mum was in contact with someone with Rubella whilst pregnant.
I am from a very close family, very loved and most of us all lived close together.
During my early years, Paul became more Ill , to the point I spent a lot of time at my wonderful Nanas house.
I went to Richmond Hill primary school, was a teachers pet, fancied Joseph McGough and was very lucky to go to Nanas for lunch each day.
She made a variety of meals, mince and mash, sausage and roast potatoes, stew and dumplings.....I used to have a chair in front of the TV watching Jamie and the magic torch, Charlton and the wheelies and pipkins.... A aah happy days.
At home we lived in a tiny hamlet so not many children around but I made my own fun, I had a space hopper, a bike plus lots of dolls, I had the most happy childhood anyone could ask for.
Next I was off to Beacon Hill secondary school, I was scared stiff, very shy and the last one to be picked for any temperature ( you get the picture!!)
I had hairy legs, was uber skinny with no shape so got picked on regularly especially on the school bus, I hated every second of the blummin school bus.
I made some lovely friends at high school , some of which I'm still very close to now, I think it's so important to be a good friend ☺
That's part one of my story.....more to follow some of which will have you in stitches 😆😆😆
So it's Monday tomorrow, I'm thinking gelli printing , a few background journal pages and some doodling , I find it so therapeutic.
Have a great Sunday evening everyone
Love Sharon xx
